Saturday Volunteering Was A Great Success, Thank You To Local Residents

Here are some photos of our volunteering day, managed by Gina at Nature’s Gym and held on a Saturday for a change.
It was a great success namely due to the valiant efforts of local residents including youngsters and friends of Committee members
We planted literally hundreds of native wild  flowers – which will add to the splendour of the display around the fruit trees in the coming months and years.  In total we had 12 people which is an excellent turnout for a Saturday morning.  Gina provided tea and coffee as usual and as you can see this provided a very welcome break for us all to chat.

Due to the success of this event being at a weekend we aim to repeat it on a Saturday  morning for another volunteer day in future.

Gina also said she will suggest some new dates in the next month or so when we can do some work to tidy up the frog pond and the paths in the woods so please watch this space for more helping hands needed requests.
